It was published in the May 2005 Vamp Stamp News. It is just a fun technique I created over a year ago that, believe me can become addictive! If you stamp up one full sheet of cardstock then you can make up to four cards right there.
MOSAIC MADNESS - Instructor/creator: Sue Wisniewski
Supplies:
Kaleidacolor ink pads or any multi-color ink pads Brayer Staz On black ink pad – my preference Paper punches – optional Xyron w/adhesive or full sheets of double stick tape Scissors Glitter
1. Run a piece of cardstock through Xyron machine with adhesive cartridge to make sticker paper. Set aside.
2. Brayer glossy cardstock with multi-color ink pad for a colorful background.
3. Stamp an image all over the brayered cardstock with a black ink pad. Fill the cardstock with the image. I like to stamp one image in rows over and over till I fill the cardstock.
4. Punch or cut out focal image and place it on the cardstock that you made into sticker paper. Now you can cut out your stamped cardstock in various shapes to your liking and place them in a pleasing manner on your sticker paper remembering to leave space for glitter.
5. After all your pieces are where you want them you are ready to sprinkle glitter all over the open spaces for your “grout”.
6. Cut to size and layer on your card.
Tips:
Use sponges, or stipple brushes to color background.
Always remember to leave space for your glitter.
Use different shaped punches to help with a unique look.
Cut out your image into a square, then cut in half diagonally and place those two pieces on your sticker paper for broken look.
Slice a full image into strips then arrange them on your sticker paper for yet another broken look.
Let your imagination go wild! Create It! Sue W.
