I am self-taught, although I have taken many classes from some of my favorite artists. I've been into crafts and crafting ever since I can remember; but didn't get into stamping until after I watched a craft show where they were stamping on clothes and at that time I was doing appliqués on clothes, so I just incorporated rubber stamping in with my appliqués.
I have been teaching rubber stamping around my state for at least seven years and love it. I have demo-ed at rubber stamp conventions, in fact, that is where I was first asked to send in a sample for publication while demoing at a convention in New Jersey. I have since had my art shown in such publications as Vamp Stamp News, The Stamper's Sampler, Somerset Gallery, The Rubber Stamper and Scrap & Stamp Art formally known as Stamping Arts & Crafts. Recently I've made the cover of VSN on the cover with an idea that I call Mosaic Madness. That's where I stamp an image, cut it up, add glitter to create unique cards.
Other interests are carving my own stamps, bookmaking and discovering new techniques to share. On a personal note I've been married over 20 years where we live in Connecticut. My art is inspired by the mood I happen to be in at that moment. Just keep creating, and most of all, have fun with your art! Create It!
