I've been an avid stamped for the last 6+ years but have been stamping over the last 10-12 years. As with many, I was hooked when I first saw embossing! I still have the same embossing tool I bought all those years ago. I stamped a bit here and there but was never happy with my work. About six years ago I found a little stamp store had reopened in town with a new owner. She showed me how to brayer and make post it note covers and that was it for me. I became her best customer (after her sister)! Eventually I became good enough to teach some classes and occasionally worked at the store when she had to be away.
I love joining swaps and making gifts for the gift exchange program on a couple of my Yahoo groups. You could also call me a charter member of the Technique Junkies Newsletter produced by my friend Pat Huntoon. I own every issue and CD and love trying all the new techniques.
Aside from being a stampaholic I love gardening and watching the wildlife that visits our yard. As you can see from the photo, I play the saxophone among other instruments. I also manage a 16 piece big band called String of Pearls in which I am the lead alto sax. I've been a member of the band for over 18 years. I've been married for nearly 19 years and dh and I have two kitties, 19 and 13. Did I mention that I'm a stampaholic?
