Paper piecing rubberstamped images:
- Stamp the image on cream, navy, blue, beige and purple patterned cardstock/papers.
- Remember when paper piecing, work from back to front within the image.
- Cut the basket lid from blue and glue over the base cream image. Color the hearts with blue marker.
- Color the basket brown.
- Cut the balls of yarn from the navy cardstock and glue over the base cream image.
- Cut the pin cushion from the blue cardstock and glue into place on the base cream image. Color the stripe with blue marker.
- Cut the cross stitch from patterned purple paper, outline the stitches with colored pencils. Cut the center of the cross-stitch out. Completely remove the “band” of hoop that shows. Glue the ruffle directly to the base cream image.
- Trace the oval of cross stitch onto a scrap of matching paper, cut out and place directly onto the base cream image, then attached the stamped one in place over it using foam layering tape for dimension.
- Cut the spool of thread from the beige cardstock; wrap the spool with thread or floss that matches the blue you used to outline the words in the cross-stitch piece,
- Outline the thread in the needle and outline pins and needle with silver metallic fine point pen.
