Supplies Needed:
- Berry Blaze Kaleidacolor Ink Pad
- Stazon Jet Black Ink Pad
- Cardstock: Black, lavender and Glossy white.
- 3 strips of coordinating ribbon 11 ½” long.
- EK Success decorative corner punch
- PC and Printer (TypoUpright & Scriptina for title, Times New Roman for journaling)
- Purple Velvet hydrangea petals
- Black and white mini brads
- Art warehouse buckle, rhinestones
- White beads on thread
- Creative Memories large circle punch
- Piercing tool, Heidi Swapp black slide clips
Directions:
- Use a brayer to apply Berry Blaze Kaleidacolor ink pad to glossy white cardstock
- Stamp heart image with Jet Black Stazon ink over the brayered colors five times in a straight row so all bottoms are pink and tops are purple. Cut out the stamped images.
- Print title onto background (**TIP: to use an 8 ½ x 11 printer, cut the lavender cardstock to 8 ½ x 11 ½, orient your document to print in landscape. Save the remaining piece of cardstock to piece back together)
- Use a decorative punch on all four corners of the black background cardstock and insert the lavender cardstock into the corners and adhere.
- Apply three strips of ribbon over the seam where the lavender cardstock meets. Staple the ends of the ribbon at the edge of the lavender cardstock.
- Position two photos as desired and adhere.
- Arrange and glue the five hearts to resemble flower petals.
- Affix a hydrangea petal with black mini brad at the base of each heart with the center of the hydrangea approx ½” from the tip of the heart. Affix one hydrangea petal in the center of all the other hydrangea with a white mini brad.
- Position an 11” string of white beads to look as if it is dangling from the title. Poke a hole near the title to put the string through to the backside and secure the string to the back.
- Place the plastic buckle as shown, on top of the white beads to resemble a necklace.
- Print journaling onto a scrap of brayered glossy cardstock. (**TIP: create a 1” square text block in a document, center the text and print onto plain white paper, then use a tape runner to adhere the scrap of brayered cardstock directly over where there journaling printed, place the paper back into your printer and print again!)
- Punch the journaling out with the smallest circle on the double Creative Memories large punch. Use the larger circle to punch black cardstock and layer them together.
- Glue the journaling circle onto the front of the buckle. Tack the string of beads with random dots of glue if needed to hold a shape.
- Decorate the journaling block with rhinestones and accent photos with slide clips.
