SUPPLIES
Stamps: Frog Jr. #033-004D, Toadly Cool 069-008D, Sea
Grass 818-107I by Lasting Impressions with Panache.
Paper: scrap to create mask and vellum.
Inks: Alcohol inks – Butterscotch and Eggplant, Stazon –
Brown.
Paint: Adirondak acrylic – Pesto, Eggplant.
Other: Art Metal & tools, micro beads, flat bottom clear
gems, embossing paste, foam tape,
crystal lacquer, felt scrap attached with Velcro to block,
paint brush & removable tape mask.
INSTRUCTIONS
Cut piece of scrap to make mask for center to let picture
show through when project completed. Temporarily adhere to center of acrylic
frame.
Using the Polished Stone technique (apply a few drops of
both alcohol inks to felt on block and dab onto frame) cover entire frame and
three glass gems. Let dry.
Use art metal, stamp frog on back. Stamp Toadly Cool on
vellum, place velum upside down on art metal and tape down. Use metal embossing
tools to emboss both images into metal and decorate edge of ‘Toadly Cool’
piece. Remove vellum. Fill the back with embossing paste and let dry. Turn
over, paint with Acrylic paints.
Adhere tape to frame leaving a gap around the center
mask. Paint open area with acrylic paint to create a frame around the mask.
Let dry. Remove both masks.
Stamp Sea Grass with Brown Stazon across bottom of frame.
Let dry.
Adhere metal pieces to frame with foam tape using
placement as shown.
Use crystal lacquer to adhere glass gems and micro beads
as desired on frame. Let dry, use more crystal lacquer to build up the micro
beads and let dry.
