SUPPLIES
Stamps: Artful Fish # 196-001I and Scrabble Alphabet #887-102L by Lasting Impressions with Panache.
Cardstock: Denim, white and lettuce green.
Ink: Denim, lettuce green. Denim color wash ink.
Other: foam tape, crystal lacquer, blue plastic ‘crystal’, ¼” paper punch & adhesive.
INSTRUCTIONS
Cut denim cardstock 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” scored and folded at the 4-1/4” mark, with fold at top. Cut white and lettuce cardstock 5” x 3-7/8”.
Stamp Artful fish and Scrabble Alphabet (alphabet gets stamped twice) on white cardstock in Denim ink. Cut out fish and layer on slightly larger fish shape using foam tape. Larger layer is made by tracing around cut out fish and cutting it slightly larger than your tracing mark. Set aside. Punch out the letters BESTFISHES. Set ‘FISHES’ aside. Adhere ‘BEST’ onto a scrap of denim cardstock layered onto scrap of white.
Wrinkle up the 5” x 3-7/8” piece of white cardstock a couple of times so it has lots of creases. Flatten out. Swipe lettuce ink over it so the ridges of wrinkles pick up the ink. Spritz it with Denim ink. Stamp Artful Fish randomly with denim ink over the wrinkled piece.
Place the lettuce and white cardstocks together and tear diagonally. Adhere larger piece to left side layering so the lettuce shows a bit. Take the remaining corner and tear off some so you get a smaller piece. Layer white on lettuce so the lettuce shows a bit then adhere to upper left corner of the first piece using foam tape. Adhere that entire piece to the denim colored card.
Adhere cut out fish to card and the letters ‘FISHES’ above fish on exposed denim area of card to resemble bubbles. Adhere the ‘BEST’ panel to the upper left area of card.
Use crystal lacquer or other adhesive to glue ‘crystal’ over eye of fish. Let dry.
