Wallpaper Background stamp (104-003F)
Black Archival dye ink
Bottle dye ink
Stonewashed dye ink
Blender pen
Pink marker
Green card stock, 3 pieces, one cut to 4 ¼” x 4 ¼”, 2 cut to 2 ½” x 2 ½”
Dk. Green card stock, 2 pieces, one cut to 2 ½” x 2 ½”, one cut to 2 ¼” x 1 ¾”
White card stock, 1 piece, one cut to 2 ¼” x 2 ¼” plus the computer text “When
in doubt…” and “Use your tongue!” printed on white card stock using green ink.
(I printed off several different phrase at one time so as to not waste a trip
thru’ the printer.)
Duct tape
Card board, 2 pieces cut to 3 x 3”
Hook & loop tape
Hand held oval punch
Bone folder or stylus tool
Paper trimmer
Double stick tape
1)
Stamp the frog using the black ink onto the 2 ¼” piece of white card
stock. Let dry.
2)
Use the blender pen to pick up ink from the lid of the Bottle dye ink pad
and color in the frog.
3)
Use the marker to color the frog’s tongue.
4)
Use the blender pen to pick up color from the lid of the Stonewashed dye
ink pad and color the “spit” under the fly. Clean the blender pen by scribbling
on scratch paper until no more colored ink comes off.
5)
Mount the frog image to the larger piece of dk. Green card stock using
the double stick tape.
6)
Stamp the background stamp using the Bottle ink onto the green 4 ¼” x 4
¼” piece & the 2 ½” x 2 ½” pieces of card stock. Cover the front of the all
these squares. Let dry.
7)
Pull off a 7” piece of duct tape and lay it down sticky side up on the
table.
8)
Place the 2 pieces of card board 1/8” apart in the center of the tape
with the outer edges of the board hanging off the tape.
9)
Fold the ends of the tape to the middle of the boards. Smooth the tape
down using your bone folder (or stylus tool) and use the tool to enforce the
crease between the 2 pieces of card board.
10)
Cut 2 pieces of tape 3” long.
11)
Lay these pieces sticky up on the table and one at a time, lay the outer
ends of the boards centered on the tape so that the edge is covered and no tape
sticks out at the top or bottom. Smooth out the tape using the bone folder.
12)
Cut 2 pieces of tape 6 1/8” long & lay them sticky up on the table.
13)
Attach one piece along the top edge of the piece making sure the edge
goes past the half way mark on the out side of the piece. Use the bone folder to
smooth the tape.
14)
Attach the other piece along the bottom edge of the piece making sure the
edge goes past the half way mark on the out side of the piece and overlaps the
piece from the top. Use the bone folder to smooth the tape.
15)
Use the bone folder to re-enforce the crease again. Make sure that the
“book” closes all the way. Use the bone folder to stretch the tape if need be.
16)
Trim the “use your tongue” phrase to 2” x 1 ½”.
17)
Mat the phrase on smaller piece of dk. green card stock using the dbl
stick tape.
18)
Attach the matted phrase onto one of the smaller green pieces using the
dbl stick tape.
19)
Mount the phrase onto the inside of the tape piece on the right using the
dbl stick tape.
20)
Mount the other piece of 2 ½” stamped green card stock on the left side
of the tape piece using the dbl stick tape.
21)
Attach the tape piece to the 4 ¼” x 4 ¼” green piece, centered and 1/8”
up from the bottom of the green piece using the dbl stick tape.
22)
Trim the “When in doubt…” phrase to ¾” x 3 ¾”.
23)
Attach center above the tape piece using the dbl stick tape.
24)
Punch 2 shapes from the hook tape & 2 from the loop tape.
25)
Attach at the outside corners of the tape “book” to hold it shut. Use
small pieces of dbl stick tape if need be to make the hook & loop piece stay
put.
