Gray “Parchment” style card stock, one piece cut to 5 ½” x 4 ¼”
White card stock, one piece cut to 2 ½” x 4 ½”
Heat tool
2 Sponges
Scissors
Craft knife & mat
Self adhesive dimentional foam
1)
Stamp the statue using the Versamark ink onto the white card stock.
2)
Sprinkle the embossing powder over the white card stock. Tap off the
excess powder onto a piece of scrap paper and pour the powder back into its
container.
3)
Use the heat tool to melt the powder. Let cool.
4)
Stamp the Music bg & the phrase using the black ink onto the parchment
card stock. Let dry.
5)
Crumple the parchment card stock into a ball. Smooth the card stock back
out to almost flat and tear the edges towards you to show the core of the card
stock.
6)
Use one sponge to “age” the parchment card stock by lightly applying the
gray ink across the wrinkles and the torn edges. Let dry.
7)
Squirt some of the bleach gel onto a folded piece of scrap paper. Use the
other sponge to apply the gel to the gray card blank. Use the heat tool to dry
the bleach.
8)
Use the “gray” sponge with gray ink to add visual texture to the front of
the bleached card blank. Let dry.
9)
Use a clean side of the “gray” sponge to apply the gold & copper pigment
to the card front. Let dry.
10)
Use the “gray” sponge to apply the gold & copper inks to the embossed
statue piece.
11)
Use the “gray” sponge to lightly age the statue using the gray ink. Let
dry.
12)
Blot the excess ink from the embossed areas with a tissue. The ink will
dry very slowly, if at all, on the embossing enamel.
13)
Use the scissors to cut out the statue right next to the enamel.
14)
Use the knife to trim out the areas of the harp where the arm & hair are
not from between the harp strings.
15)
Apply narrow strips of the dimentional foam to the back of the music
piece ¼” from the edges. Attach the music piece to the card front without
flattening the wrinkles too much.
16)
Use the foam to mount the statue over the music using two layers of foam
where the statue hangs over the edge of the music piece.
TA DA! What a lovely way to say “Thank You” to a dear
friend. ~ Jenna
