“Herd the Moos?”

Silly Cow image (061-004G)
Herd the Moos? Stamp (176-003D)
Wallpaper Background stamp (104-003F)
Brown archival ink pad
Dye ink pads in Denim & Bottle
Blender pen
Markers in brown, dk. brown, flesh & black
Blue “marble” card stock, one piece cut to 8 ½” x 5 ½”, finished card size 5 ½” x 4 ¼”
Lt. green card stock, one piece cut to 4 ¼” x 2”
White glossy card stock, one piece at least 2 ½” x 3 ¼”
Scissors
Tweezers
1/8” circle punch
Glue dots
Liquid adhesive with a fine tip applicator

1)      Stamp the cow onto the glossy card stock using the brown ink. Let dry.

2)      Tear about ¼” to 3/8” off one long edge of the green card stock. The torn edge is now the “top”

3)      If needed, turn the green card stock piece so the torn edge is top most and the interior of the card stock is showing.

4)      Stamp the background using the Bottle ink onto the green card stock. Let dry.

5)      Color in the cow using the markers. Let dry.

6)      Use the blender pen to use the ink in the lids of the Bottle stamp pad to color the wings of the flies. (Wipe the blender pen across a scrap piece of paper until no more color comes off before changing colors.) Let dry.

7)      Use the black marker to color in the bodies of the flies. Let dry.

8)      Cut out the cow image. Be VERY careful cutting around the tail as the image is rather thin there and could easily tear off. Save the scraps with the flies on them.

9)      Attach the ‘grass’ to the bottom of the card front.

10)  Use the glue dots to attach the cow. I placed a dot on the end of the tail and folded dots under each hoof in addition to the dots used on the head & body.

11)  Use the hole punch to separate a fly from the glossy card stock. Be careful not to loose your fly! <LOL>

12)  Pick up the fly by the edges using the tweezers making sure that the back of the fly is facing you.

13)  Apply the smallest drop of glue and place the fly near the cow’s face.

14)  Repeat steps 11, 12 & 13 with the other 2 flies placing the bugs around the cow’s head. Let dry.

15)  Stamp the phrase using the Denim ink above the cow image on the blue card stock.

TA DA! What a whimsical way to share your good news with a friend. ~ Jenna
