“Ballistic B-day” card
Don’t go Ballistic (002-002L)
Celebrate! (088-003D)
Black archival ink
White pigment ink
Markers in tan, brown, pink, red, yellow, turquoise
Glitter glue in red, yellow, turquoise, & pink
Scissors (I find the small bladed type work well for detail cutting)
Layer-ease matting system
Pencil & eraser
White card stock, one piece cut ½” larger than cat image
Red card stock, one piece cut ¼” larger than white card stock
Yellow card stock, one piece cut ¼” larger than red card stock
Turquoise card stock, one piece cut to ¼” larger than yellow card stock
Black card stock, one piece cut to 5.5 x 4.25” finished card size
Adhesive of choice
1) Stamp cat using black ink onto white card stock
2) Color in using markers (don’t forget the little circles on the letters)
3) Cut out cat image using scissors leaving an 1/8” border all the way around
4) Mount cat image centered on the red card stock
5) Use the layer ease to trace an 1/8” border all the way around the cat image.
6) Cut out the red layer using scissors and erase any pencil marks
7) Mount red card stock onto yellow card stock and repeat the tracing and cutting.
8) Repeat for the turquoise card stock.
9) Use the red glitter glue on the red letter dots and the dots on the party hat.
10) Use the yellow glitter glue on the yellow letter dots, the stars, and the pom-pom.
11) Use the turquoise glitter glue on the letter dots
12) Use the pink glitter glue on the cat’s nose. Set the piece aside to dry.
13) Stamp the Celebrate! on the black card foundation using the white pigment ink until the back ground is full. Let dry or use heat tool or blow dryer to speed things along.
14) When all parts are dry; mount layered image onto back ground.
