pg
Supplies:
A photo of Mandy watching the flowers grow (or a photo of your own pet)
Moss Pink Frame stamp (104-001L)
Wallpaper stamp (104-003F)
Swirly ABC's stamps (880-102J)
Friendship Blessing stamp (?)
Versamark clear ink pad
White detail embossing powder
Radiant Pearls in Snow Queen, Frosty Pine, Raspberry Kiss & Platinum
2 dark pink flower eyelets
White vellum card stock, one piece 5 x 4", one piece 2 x 1.5"
Green card stock, one piece 6 x 6", one piece scrap at least 1 x 4"
Paint brush
Heat tool
½" square punch
Scissors
Eyelet setting tools
Archival vellum adhesive
Glue dots
1)
Stamp the frame using Versamark on 5 x 4” piece of vellum card stock.
2)
Sprinkle the white embossing powder over image, tap the excess onto a
piece of scrap paper and pour back into the container.
3)
Heat the powder until smooth using the heat tool & keeping the tip at
least a couple of inches from the vellum so you don’t scorch or warp the
surface.
4)
Stamp the phrase using the Versamark onto the small piece of vellum and
repeat steps 2 & 3.
5)
Stamp the letters using Versamark on the scrap of green card stock.
Repeat steps 2 & 3.
6)
Color the frame using the Radiant Pearls and the paint brush. Use the
green on the leaves; the platinum on the small flowers & in the centers of
the large flowers; the pink on the large flower petals; & the white on the
back ground. Vellum is less absorbent than other papers, so the ink will dry
very very slowly, also the paint will not stick to the embossed areas.
7)
I let the paint dry for an hour or so and then use a facial tissue to
carefully blot straight up & down to remove the excess paint off the surface
turning the tissue to a clean side before each blot. (NOT tp or paper towels,
those paper products will leave fuzzies and imprints in the paint.) Doing this
leaves the paint with a satin finish and lots of sparkle. Set aside to finish
drying.
8)
Stamp the Wallpaper stamp using Versamark on the 6 x 6 green card stock;
start in the lower left corner and work across the bottom edge stamping off the
bottom edge slightly. Stamp more rows until the piece is covered. Let dry.
9)
Attach the phrase vellum in the lower right corner, about ¼” in from
the edges, using the flower eyelets.
10)
When the RP paint is dry use the scissors to trim out the center of the
frame leaving a small border.
11)
Trim the outside of the frame to 1/8” all the way around.
12)
Place the photo inside the frame for placement and mark the edges with a
removable photo pen. (Or pencil if you used a computer printout.)
13)
Trim the photo no more than 1/8” from the markings so the edges go no
further than the double line border on the inside of the frame. Erase any
markings that show thru’ the frame.
14)
Apply a small amount (or thin line) of vellum adhesive to the inner
double line border on the back side and attach the photo so the edges do not go
beyond the double line inner border.
15)
Apply a small amount (or thin line) of vellum adhesive to the 1/8”
border around the outside of the frame.
16)
Mount the frame an equal distance from the top of the foundation and the
top of the attached vellum phrase and centered from the sides.
17)
Punch out the embossed letters and mount on the left side of the frame
using glue dots.
TA DA! You now have an adorable memory of a beloved
pet. ~ Jenna (And y’all thought I could only do cats! <LOL>)
