“A Snowy Greeting” card

Supplies:

Lg. Snowman stamp (013-006C)
Snowflake Cluster stamp (013-007E)
Sm. Snowman Family Border stamp (003-004E)
Tiny Snowman stamp (122-008A)
A Snowy Greeting stamp 
Pigment ink in black & white
Black archival ink
Frosted Crystal embossing powder
Radiant Pearls paints in Icy Mocha, Espresso, Holly Berry, Snow Queen & Silver Bells
Markers in red, orange, green, blue, gray & black
White card stock, one piece cut to a finished size of 5.5 x 4.25” folded, one piece cut to 4.25 x 4”, and one piece cut to 3 x 3”
Fine tip paint brush
Heat tool
Scissors
Adhesive of choice
Mini glue dots
Dimensional foam bits

A 4 x 3” scrap of left over paper from the “Snowflake Cluster” wrapping paper project (See the instructions for making this paper under “Snowman Tag” w/ “Snowflake Cluster” wrapping paper)

 

1)      Stamp the large snowman stamp using the black pigment in on the 3 x 3 piece of white card stock.

2)      Sprinkle the frosted crystal embossing powder over image, tap the excess onto a piece of scrap paper and pour back into the container.

3)      Heat the powder until smooth using the heat tool.

4)      Paint the lg. snowman using the Radiant Pearl paints. Let dry.

5)      Stamp the snowman family border stamp using the black archival ink near the top and to one side of a long side of the 4.25 x 4 piece of what card stock.

6)      Stamp the tiny snowman stamp using the black archival ink in the space left at the end of the snowman family border.

7)      Use the fine tip of the black marker to make some tiny dots at the base of the tiny snowman so he blends in a bit with the rest of the family.

8)      Use the markers to color in all of the snowman family, including the newest member. Let dry.

9)      Use the scissors to cut around the top of the stamped border leave a narrow margin of white showing around all the images.

10)  Adhere the wrapping paper to the top of the card front leaving a 1/8” border on the top and both sides.

11)  Attach a ¼” mini glue dot to the back of each small snowman family head. Tuck any edges of the dots that show from the front to the back.

12)  Apply your adhesive of choice to the bottom of the snowman family piece below the ground line and adhere to the card front lining up the bottom of the piece with the bottom of the card and matching up the sides. The family should cover the bottom edge of the wrapping paper.

13)  Stamp the phrase using the white pigment ink on the wrapping paper centered above the family border.

14)  Sprinkle the frosted crystal embossing powder over image, tap the excess onto a piece of scrap paper and pour back into the container.

15)  Heat the powder until smooth using the heat tool.

16)  Using the scissors cut out the lg. snowman leaving a narrow edge of white showing.

17)  Attach dimensional foam to the back of the lg. snowman and then adhere him to the centered front below the family border.
