“Santa Kitty”
tag w/ “Ho Ho Ho” wrapping paper
Supplies:
A gift to wrap
Santa Kitty stamp (013-005D)
Ho, Ho, Ho stamp (028-004D)
To/From stamp (893-103C)
Black Archival ink
Markers in black, red & green
Matte white wrapping paper
Tag w/hole
Ribbon, wired pompom fibers
Wooden skewer or thin paint brush
Scissors
Tape for wrapping
1)
Cut a piece of wrapping paper a little larger than the size you know you
need.
2)
Stamp the Ho, Ho, Ho in black ink in off-set rows starting in the lower
left corner until the sheet is full.
3)
Color all the hats using the red marker.
4)
Color Santa Kitty’s hat with the red marker & the rest of him with
the black marker. Huff (exhale on the colored stamp to moisten the ink) &
stamp the kitty on the tag.
5)
Stamp the To/From using black ink on the tag.
6)
Color the kitty with the red & green markers.
7)
Place the gift box on the stamped wrapping paper; adjust as needed so the
design looks straight. Trim the edges as needed and wrap the box as you normally
wrap gifts.
8)
Tie the ribbon around the wrapped box with the tied ends meeting on the
front of the box near the upper left corner.
9)
Slip both ends of the ribbon through the hole in the tag so they both
come out the front.
10)
Cut one 8” long piece from both wired pompom fibers. When you cut the
fiber, do so in the middle of the strand between 2 pompoms. Fold the pokey wire
ends down and wrap around the base of the nearest pompom.
11)
Fold the pompom fibers in half and tie to the front of the tag using the
ribbon ends.
12)
Tie the ribbon ends into a bow and trim on the angle.
13)
Wind the wired fiber ends around a wooden skewer or thin paint brush
handle to create corkscrew effect and arrange.
TA DA! You now have a darling gift ready for giving. If you
need to mail a gift, this is an ideal “bow” since it doesn’t require a
huge box to keep it from getting smooshed.
