12x12 “Fiver”
scrap book page
Supplies:
Five photos of your favorite cat
Meow background stamp (146-002J)
Paws alphabet stamps (887-101M)
Black Archival ink
Coluzzle cutting system, nested oval & nested heart
Scissors (I find the small bladed type work well for detail
cutting)
Pencil & eraser
Layer-ease matting set, 1/8” disc
Light Green card stock, one 12 x 12” sheet and three 1 x
8” strips for the title
Black card stock, one sheet of 8.5 x 11” for matting
Archival adhesive of choice
1)
Stamp the back ground image using Black Archival in on foundation 12 x 12
starting at lower left corner and stamping from left to right in row working
towards the top and stamping off the edge of the card stock.
2)
Stamp the title with alphabet using the Black Archival ink placing the
letters close but not overlapping.
3)
Cut out title words using scissors leaving a 1/8” border all the way
around.
4)
Mount cut out words to black card stock leaving at least ¼” of card
stock showing around the edges. (1/2” between each word if all are on the same
cardstock)
5)
Place black card stock with word on Layer-ease magnetic mat and place the
1/8” disc against the edge of the green card stock.
6)
Place the pencil point into the hole in the disc and trace around one
word. Do the same for all title words.
7)
Cut out title words using scissors.
8)
Erase all pencil lines from edges of matted title words.
9)
Choose one photo of cat to be the “palm”. Using Coluzzle nested heart
template, cut the bottom of “palm” photo. Use the nested oval template to
cut the rounded top of the “palm”.
10)
Cut the four “toes” using the nested oval template.
11)
Mount the photos to black card stock leaving a ¼” border around each
and trace with the Layer-ease 1/8” disc. Cut out the 4 “toes” &
“palm”
12)
Lay out title words, “palm” & “toes” for placement and
adhere.
TA DA! You have now showcased a beloved pet for all
