Metallic gold paint pen
Shrink Plastic, ivory
Sanding block

Liquid dimensional adhesive

Mounting foam
1)
Lightly sand the shrink plastic in 2-3 directions to provide “tooth”
so the pencils will leave color when you use them.
2)
Stamp image using black solvent ink onto sanded side of shrink plastic.
Let dry.
3)
Color using pencils. The color will intensify after shrinking so less is
more when coloring in the image.
4)
Carefully cut out image leaving a small border and avoiding sharp inward
cuts. (do so can tear the plastic, causing warping in the finished project)
5)
Place the piece face down in a small foil lined box and heat until the
piece shrinks and then flattens back out. (Don’t panic if the edges stick
together. They will either pop apart on their own or you can stop heating the
piece & pop them apart when the plastic cools enough to touch and then
finish heating. If the plastic decides to wad itself up into a piece of pop art;
start over. The materials doesn’t cost much and are not worth raising one’s
blood pressure over.)
6)
After the piece cools; edge with the gold paint pen. Let dry.
7)
Place piece on scrap paper and apply the clear dimensional adhesive,
start by outlining the image and then filling it in. let dry over night.
8)
Using the foam adhesive, attach pin back.
TA DA! A lovely addition to any wardrobe. ~ Jenna
