Art Instructions

  1. 1. Embellishments: Cut sheet metal into 1 ½ inch squares. Turn squares over to the back (silver side). Stamp mittens on the silver side with StazOn ink. Allow to dry. Trace mitten outline with Embossing Stylus. Turn square over to the blue side. Use stylus to trace an additional line on both sides of the embossed lines made from the back. Add dots with the stylus. Using a felt applicator, dab Bottle colored alcohol ink onto the embellishment. The alcohol ink will remove some of the blue from the sheet metal. Do not rub. Rubbing removes too much of the color. Using a new felt piece, add Terra Cotta alcohol ink. Add Azure StazOn ink with a sponge. Punch a snowflake from a scrap of sheet metal and add with a mini glue dot.
  2. 2. Strip Accents: Cut strips of sheet metal. With your fingers, add creases. Accent creases by highlighting each side of each crease with the embossing stylus. Using a felt applicator, dab Bottle colored alcohol ink onto the embellishment.
  1. The alcohol ink will remove some of the blue from the sheet metal. Do not rub. Add Azure StazOn ink with a sponge.
  2. 3. Title: Stamp "Snowy Days" on the front (blue) side of a rectangle of sheet metal with Forest Green StazOn ink. Use embossing stylus to trace over the letters and snowflakes on the front (blue) side. Turn sheet metal over. For the words only, use stylus to trace an additional line on both sides of the embossed lines made from the front. Turn title back to the front. Using a felt applicator, dab Bottle colored alcohol ink onto the embellishment. The alcohol ink will remove some of the blue from the sheet metal. Do not rub. Rubbing removes too much of the color. Using a new felt piece, add Terra Cotta alcohol ink. Highlight words and snowflakes with Black marker. Mount on black cardstock edged with Opalite Glacier Blue ink.
  3. 4. Brads: Dip silver brads in Bottle (green) Alcohol ink.
  4. 5. Frame: Cut out the center of a black panel of cardstock. Stamp snowflake border using Opalite Glacier Blue ink.
  5. 6. Journaling: Write journaling on black strips of cardstock with Metallic Green pen.
  6. 7. Assemble layout as shown, stamping large snowflakes on the green background with Adirondack Pitch Black ink.
