Instructions for 12x12 layout:
1.
Trim a piece of red BasicGrey paper to about 2 ½”x12”.
2.
Trim a piece of yellow BasicGrey paper to about 3”x5”.
3.
Trim a piece of patterned BasicGrey 1”x12” for the paper accent at the
bottom of the page.
4.
Trim a 4” circle from a piece of patterned BasicGrey for the accent to
the right of the journaling.
5.
Stamp the design square and heart images using Vintage Photo ink down the
red paper.
6.
Stamp the folk hand image using Vintage Photo ink on the yellow paper
piece.
7.
Crumple both the red and yellow pieces of paper into a ball.
8.
Open the paper ball and smooth out.
9.
Using the Antique Linen ink with a direct-to-paper technique, go over the
red and yellow papers until each is distressed to your liking.
10.
Adhere the 1”x12” piece of paper along the bottom edge of the main
background paper.
11.
Adhere the stamped red paper vertically, about an inch from the left edge
of the main background paper.
12.
Adhere the stamped yellow paper over the red paper, about 1 ½” up from
the bottom.
13.
Using a water brush, pick up color from the Fired Brick ink pad and color
the heart in the folk hand image.
14.
Pierce 3 holes for brads around the folk hand image.
15.
Insert and secure brads.
16.
Trim a 12” piece of fiber and wrap around the brads from the top left
brad through the lower left one then finally through the lower right brad.
17.
Trim off excess if needed.
18.
Print out journaling on the transparency sheet and trim, leaving about ½”
to ¾” on the right and left sides.
19.
Attach transparency to an extra piece of red paper using eyelets. Trim
off extra transparency overhanging the paper.
20.
Adhere the circle piece to the right side about 1 ½” down from the top
edge of the background page allowing just under ½ of the circle hang over the
right edge.
21.
Trim the remaining piece of the circle along the background paper edge.
22.
Adhere journaling box over part of the circle element to the desired
location.
23.
Adhere cardstock letters to the lower right half of the background page.
24.
Sand letters to make them stand out more and to give a more distressed
look. Done!
